A 17th to 18th Century silver gilt reliquary crucifix pendant, possibly Northern Italian, the front with applied figure of Christ below an engraved cartouche with the letters I.N.R.I, applied skull and cross bones below his feet, the back centred with an engraved depiction of the Virgin Mary wearing flowing robes and a crown, her hands folded to her bosom, the moon to her left, the sun to her right and a lily flowering on a mound beneath her feet, the screw key terminal securing hinged lid, opening to reveal a fitted interior of seven small compartments, each containing paper labels for saints and miniature jewellery wrapped around bone fragments, cloth and wax seal, length 11cm x width 6.8cm.
