A pair of late 18th or early 19th Century sauce boats, probably Chinese decorated in the European taste emulating Worcester with handpainted blue cartouches to either side with houses to one and a landscape to the other with rococo shells above, the interior with rose heads, buds and foliage trailing against the sides and central well, both raised to three scroll paw feet with relief moulded lion head masks heightened in blue, unmarked, length 22cm Following subsequent research, in our opinion these are Limehouse, circa 1750.
