A World War One Prussian helmet with original lining and a green paratrooper's training helmet, S/D (2)

Condition report
Amended condition report - Prussian helmet - Metal fittings including the helmet plate have dented and corroded slightly. The surface of the leather to the outside has cracked and crazed. The peak of the helmet is bent out of shape and there are dents around the metal trim of the peak. It looks as though someone has attempted to over paint the chin strap fixing plates to the sides of the helmet. There is a small split to the chip strap itself. The leather lining of the helmet is intact, including the lacing. It is stamped with the date 1915 and H. Strecker, Elshorn. It is also stamped with the number 56. There is some corrosion metal fittings on the inside of the helmet. Paratrooper’s helmet - the leather peak section has perished a little and bent slightly out of shape. There is a small split to the rear of the outer padded rim. The leather ear flaps and chin strap are intact. There is also a leather neck flap that is in a slightly perished condition. Stamped with the number 59 to the inside.
