Collectables

The word ‘collectable’ is a broad term which is difficult to define and often referred to by different names such as curios, works of art and bijouterie. Our collectables department at Fieldings is overseen by Mark, and incorporates a wide variety of objects including stamps, postcards, sculptures, carvings, antiquities, taxidermy, memorabilia, railwayana and musical instruments, the more random the better we say. Fieldings house collectables record – Emanuele Caroni statue selling for £91,000

Mark's most memorable find - found hidden in long grass in North Worcestershire, a 20th Century example after Louis Weingartner's bronze Dryad and Boar, produced by The Bromsgrove Guild, selling for £35,000.

Mark's dream find - Mark has a very keen interest in 17th/18th century naval history so to offer for sale a pair of bronze cannons from the golden age of sail would be a wonderful opportunity!

Emanuele Caroni (Italian 1826 -1876) L'Amour Vainqueuer de la Force, a 19th Century Italian carved carrara marble sculpture of cupid taming the lion, sold £91,000

AUGUSTE RODIN (1840-1917) - Main Droite Ouverte, bronze, sold £12,700

A Stanley Gibbons Great Britain album partly filled with QV to George V, sold £11,000

SIR JACOB EPSTEIN (1880 - 1959) - Bronze, Head of Albert Einstein, sold £56,000

The Tennis Girl: The original micro mini dress and tennis racket from the 1977 Athena Poster, sold £15,500

A Polyphon style 105 upright disc musical box, sold £6,200

An early 20th Century French violin by Silvestre and Maucotel (fl Paris 1900 - 1913), sold £5,600

AFTER GIOVANNI MARIA BENZONI (1809-1873) A late 19th Century life size carved white and grey veined carrara marble figure of Diana the huntress, sold £28,000
