A 1930s Permarec floor standing record recorder in figured walnut case, the hinged lid opening to reveal a turn table and a Dralowid indicator width 60cm, together with a floor standing chrome microphone and two aluminium cannisters containing blank ebonite discs and sleeves (2) Permarec recording discs were a soft recording layer on an alumium glass base and once recorded they had to be baked in the oven for two to three hours before playing, introduced by Musikon in 1933 the company went into liquidation in 1937.
