Attributed to Dr Christopher Dresser for The Art Furnishers' Alliance - An oak side chair of Moorish influence circa 1880, with bobbin turned spindle detail to the back, later stamped Liberty & Co, S/D The Arts Furnishers' Alliance went in to liquidation in 1883, with the stock being sold at auction. A number of these pieces were apparently purchased by Liberty & Co and retailed through their premises.
