Back to the Future back in September

Back to the Future auction back in September

Fieldings are excited to announce their new Toys and Entertainment Memorabilia valuation days, with Toy Specialist Kayleigh Davies and Entertainment Memorabilia Specialist Rachel Holland.

Kayleigh says “Quite often people are a little embarrassed to bring their old toys or records along for valuation, worrying they won’t be worth anything or that they’re not the sort of thing we’d be interested in. However, sometimes these items are worth more than the traditional antiques that they bring in!”

Recent valuation day finds include:

A group of Dinky Toys diecast cars, sold for £150. While mint and boxed items command a premium, this lot shows that diecast cars can be valuable even when a little playworn.

Led Zeppelin signed Led Zeppelin IV LP, sold for £9,800. This was such a good find as not only was it signed by the entire band, it also had the provenance to go with it. Signed items usually have a good story accompanying them!

Three 1970s Sindy dolls, sold for £130. Sindy was Britain’s best selling doll, so while she may be relatively common she’s still desired by collectors. Some outfits are hard to find in complete and good condition and can be more valuable than the dolls.

A collection of Beatles records, sold for £180. Rare pressings and signed items achieve the highest prices, but a good collection of popular music is often a winner at auction too.

1969 Action Man Olympic Champion, sold for £180. Action figures spanning the 1960s to the 1980s are always in demand at auction. A complete set of accessories to accompany them always helps, as in the case of this Olympic Champion set.

Le Mans British quad film poster, sold for £980. Classic films and eye catching artwork are a winning combination in the film poster world.

CMC Ferrari 312P Spyder diecast model, sold for £320. Toys don’t always have to be old to be valuable, modern collectables sell well if they have been kept safely in their box.

Whatever you have, whatever the condition, we’re always happy to provide advice. Our specialist valuation days will be held on 5th and 26th August. If you can’t make it along but would still like a valuation you can email us or send pictures via WhatsApp.

Our next back to the future auction will be held on 17th and 18th September
