Staff pick their favourite lots from our Decades of Design Auction

Twice a year we hold our Decades of Design auction, this sale is the highlight of the auction calender for most of our clients, however the staff at Fieldings love it also.  The saleroom is transformed and it feels like stepping back in time, to a mid 20th Century world.  The room is vibrant with teak, rosewood and brightly coloured abstract painting and of course no Fieldings Decades of Design auction would be complete without a flurry of Clarice Cliff ceramics.

This year for obvious reasons we won't be allowing our customers in to the saleroom, and we invite all our customers to go online from the comfort and safety of their homes and watch us live via video link and bid online using easylive auction  or the saleroom, what could be more simple.

The 2-day sale will take place on 17th and 18th October at our Stourbridge saleroom.  Viewing is strictly by appointment only and we advise to book early to avoid disappointment.  A full online catalogue and all condition reports are all available to view HERE.

Every month, we ask the Fieldings staff what their favourite lots are from the sale

Andy Mayall - Furniture Specialist - Lot 981 Vico Magistretti for Carlo Poggi - A Golem chair in a black finish

'This is just a bit of fun, experimenting with shape and form, I love this chair and it is so affordable with a presale estimate of £80-120'

Will Farmer - Director - Lot 577 Pollio Perelda - Fratelli Toso - A large Italian Murano glass bottle

'This bottle is just beautifully made, I just can't believe it has survived intact for over 50 years.  This is just pure 1950s style !
