A day out at Moorcroft Pottery, Stoke on Trent

On Saturday 16th November our very own pot-a-holic Will got to take a day away from the saleroom and head up to Stoke on Trent for a magical day at Moorcroft Pottery! While we all took to the rostrum to handle our November sale Will was wielding his gavel at Moorcroft Pottery for one of their annual collectors day, an opportunity for Moorcroft members to get together and chat about their favourite designer. The highlight of the event was the afternoon auction where the members had a chance to bid for 21 unique and limited edition pieces created by the amazing team at Moorcroft just for the day!

The designers including Kerry Goodwin, Emma Bossons, Nicola Slaney and Vicky Lovatt all designed special pieces where only 2 of each would ever be made! Will took to the floor and oversaw the battle as life long fans and hardened collectors fought it out to secure some absolutely wonderful pieces. After all the fun and games there was time for a tour around the factory and a sneak look behind the scenes at one of the countries oldest and most respected pottery firms. As you can imagine, Will had an amazing day and is still telling us about it now...
