A late 19th century finely carved French Dieppe ivory crucifix mounted on oak cross below the nailed scroll INRI (Jesus the Nazarene King of the Jews) and ring mount, indistinctly signed to the back, on a separate base, mounted with a plaque inscribed 'Souvenir de Dr.et Mme West, height of figure 17.5cm, overall, height 45cm x width 17.5cm, can be separated for wall display.
Subject to CITES regulations, this lot will require a re-export permit if shipped outside the mainland UK.


Condition report
Condition is generally good, hands, fingers and toes with no loss. The are two join lines suggesting the arms were joined separate . There is a small hairline running down the left breast On the base of the cross is tongue suggesting it was mounted on a separate plinth which is loose and leans forward. Subject to CITES regulations, this lot will require a re-export permit if shipped outside the mainland UK.
