The word ‘collectable’ is a broad term which is difficult to define and often referred to by different names such as curios, works of art and bijouterie. Our collectables department at Fieldings is overseen by Mark, and incorporates a wide variety of objects including stamps, postcards, sculptures, carvings, antiquities, taxidermy, memorabilia, railwayana and musical instruments, the more random the better we say. Fieldings house collectables record – Emanuele Caroni statue selling for £91,000
Mark's most memorable find - found hidden in long grass in North Worcestershire, a 20th Century example after Louis Weingartner's bronze Dryad and Boar, produced by The Bromsgrove Guild, selling for £35,000.
Mark's dream find - Mark has a very keen interest in 17th/18th century naval history so to offer for sale a pair of bronze cannons from the golden age of sail would be a wonderful opportunity!
