Two 1940s Wilton Pottery Winston Churchill character jugs, the first printed 'Never was so much owed by so many to so few' to the base and the second 'We shall not flag nor fail, we shall go on to the end', both printed in red, tallest 20cm. (2)
Condition report
The naval example is printed 'Never was so much ...'. He has a firing crack to the back, crazing and some scuffs and rubbing to the paintwork and gilding.
The brown top hatted example is crazed with some minor paint scuffs.
Both are rather dusty and grubby (suspect they have been near a kitchen)
