Lot 927: Sold for £700 hammer

A late 19th to early 20th Century heavily carved oak court cupboard, with figural door panels, drawer fronts and pilasters within acanthus scroll borders, probably Low Countries, height 197cm, width 170cm and depth 61cm, S/D.

Provenance - Lot 523, four day auction sale at ‘Claregate’, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, 30th May to 3rd June 1932.

Condition report
Some splitting to both sides of the base section, but not the upper section. One of the acanthus scroll bosses is detached but is present. Some splitting to the back boards of the base section and some old woodworm flight holes to the same.
