Lot 933: Sold for £260 hammer

Estimate £120-£150

A set of six late 19th to early 20th Century carved oak dining chairs, with carved foliate detail and over-stuffed seats, comprising four standard chairs and two carvers, S/D (6)

Condition report
Some old repairs to the chairs including glued and screw and brace repairs to the top rails. Both of the carvers and one of the standard chairs have had doweled repairs at the joints between the top rail and the uprights. There is some 'play' to the frame of one of the standard chairs. Seats have been re-upholstered at some point in green dralon and this is generally in good condition. Some scuffs and scratches to the frames commensurate with use.
