Lot 841: Sold for £1,850 hammer

Estimate £400-£600

A Louis XVI style simulated red boulle work and brass painted clock, with eight day striking movement, the case surmounted with a figure holding a shield and figural busts to each corner, supported by four horses on a shaped parquetry style base, complete with stand on four slender scroll legs to a plinth base, height 206cm and width across the stand 80cm, S/D

Condition report
Please note that the clock is a late 20th Century reproduction example. The movement is German. It is heavily smoke-stained and requires a good clean. Otherwise condition is generally OK, although there is a small section of veneer loss to the right hand side of the front of the stand. The pendulum and key are present. The boulle work is simulated as stated in the description.
