A pair of 1930s Carlton Ware bookends modelled as Britannia stood holding a shield and a long curled snake, stood beside a pedestal with an owl perched on top, all to a black shaped back, printed script mark, height 18.5cm, S/D.

Condition report
There is a fresh slither chip to the corner of one, at the back he other has a glaze scuff to the tip of the helmet. Both have all over crazing and fleabite paint flakes.
