Lot 860: Sold for £85 hammer

Estimate £100-£150

A 19th Century continental oak chest of four long drawers below a shaped moulded edge top, brass drop handles and foliate escuteons, on bracket plinth base, height 83cm x depth 52cm x width 93cm, S/D

Condition report
Amended condition report - The chest appears to be a late 19th Century example. The top appears to be a later replacement - there are nail holes that extend out over the sides of the chest. Some wear to the edges of the top. Scuffs and scratches to the top and the drawer fronts. The handles have been replaced. Drawers are oak-lined and the linings appear to be original to the chest. There is a section of the front left bracket foot that is missing.
