A copy of Savrola by Winston Churchill, 1915, published by Hodder & Stoughtons, signed by the author and dated 1941, alongside glued typed page on 10 Downing Street, Whitehall headed paper, dated 15th April 1941 'Dear Sir, I am desired by Mrs. Churchill to return herewith your copy of 'Savrola' which the Prime Minister has autographed' Yours faithfully G. Hamblin, Private Secretary.

Condition report
Internally paper has yellowed and become brittle. Edges of pages particularly affected. Lower corners of 19/21 have crumbled and are missing. Illustration opposite title page has small abrasion, which is faintly visible verso above Churchill signature. Embossed red cloth boards are grubby, spine is faded and edges slightly worn, top and bottom of spine show wear. Tightly bound. No previous owner markings. No provenance, book came from a deceased estate.
