An early 20th Century enamel advertising sign for 'Midland Sports Co, Albion Works, Wholesale Manufacturers, Footballs, Punchballs, Boxing Gloves, Sporting Goods, etc', black lettering on a yellow ground, height 76cm and width 110cm, S/D. Provenance - This sign was discovered as a 'barn find' in the local Wyre Forest area.
Condition report
Corrosion and enamel losses all over. Also holed in places, especially to the top left hand corner. There has been no later over-painting. Consigned to auction sale together with several other signs from the same source - A genuine local 'barn find'.
