An 18th Century needlework sampler worked by Elizabeth Maria Bradburn dated 1796 detailing The Ten Commandments, 34cm x 25cm, later framed, together with a 19th Century needlework sampler worked by Mary Cliffe and dated 1824, the verse 'As Billows roll to meet their face, And break upon the Shore, So rolls that Billow, human life, Then breaks and is no more ...' framing floral sprays and double fronted Georgian houses, 27cm x 35cm, later framed. Condition report
Ten Commandments is faded and has some moth holes to the lower left. Mary Cliffe sampler has some patch staining, freying to the edges and some discolouration. Please use the photographs as a guide for both.
