A French Art Deco polished marble cased mantel clock of rectangular form, with a spelter finial in the form of a recumbent German shepherd dog above the gilt coloured diamond shaped dial with Arabic numerals, the eight-day movement striking on the half hour stamped Japy Freres, height 29.5cm, width 31.5cm and depth 10cm, S/D.
Condition report
The pendulum and winding key are missing. The clock has not been seen running and is offered for sale as seen. There is a small pit mark to the right ear of the dog that looks to be a manufacturing flaw. Some scratches to the dial. The marble case and the glazed door panel are OK.
