A late 18th to early 19th Century Bilston type enamel pill or patch box decorated to the slightly domed cover with the motto 'How Much to be Prized And esteem'd is a friend On whom we may allways With safety depends [sic]' within a green patterned border, the fluted base in white enamel and the interior with a mirror to the lid, length 4cm, S/D.

Condition report
There are cracks to the top and some patch staining. The mirror is foxed. The base has some stress lines in the enamel ( which looks very thickly applied). Clasp is strong.
