Lot 1038: Sold for £170 hammer

Estimate £50-£80

A late 19th Century walnut veneered pier cabinet, with foliate line inlaid detail, the caddy shaped top with gilt metal mounts above a single glazed arch panel door over a plinth base, height 120cm, width 87cm and depth 33cm, S/D.

Condition report
Faded and requires a polish. Gilt metal mounts are OK. The cabinet does wobble and so this will need addressing. There is no key. There is a later aluminium clip that has been inserted to the edge of the gilt border around the glass panel - again this is something that will require addressing. There is a split to the right hand side of the top and a small section of loss out of the rear left hand corner of the top. Several small sections of veneer loss to the edges and some minor dents around the plinth base.
