Lot 837: Sold for £200 hammer

Estimate £120-£180

A late 19th Century French clock garniture, with painted porcelain panels depicting canal scenes, with eight day striking movement, the dial surmounted with an urn, mounted on shaped wooden bases, S/D (3)

Condition report
There is no key or pendulum. The clock has not been tested and is offered for sale 'as seen'. There is wear to the gilded wooden plinth bases and also wear and losses to the blue velvet on the bases. There are a number of the tiny red cabouchons missing from the clock as well as the two garniture pedestals. The clock garniture would benefit from a clean. There is no maker's name to the movement. The feet of the clock have been screwed in to the wooden plinth base.
