Current Owner: Since 2015 Instagram Account: @little.Ateam.van Service History: Full since 2015 Last Service: Aug 2022 Last Cambelt Service: 74,000 (2015) MOT Expires: January 2024. HPI Clear. Never stolen/recovered. Never Crashed. Suzuki Carry The Suzuki Carry is a small van that's an alternative to car-based vans like the Astra Van. Its strength lies in its size and shape. It's pretty compact, which makes it ideal for companies that are primarily city or town-based: it can dart through traffic and is easy to park. 1.3 engine and 5 speed manual gearbox. Power steering. CUSTOMISATION & REPAIRS The van in the show is a GMC V8 van, this is a scaled down version with roof spoiler, red wheels and iconic styling. The interior is also customised with the carpeting to match the exterior. A removable memory foam bed used for camping trips that also matches the van’s style and colours. Cruise control and DAB MP3 Bluetooth stereo. Also upgraded electrics. The van has been to Goodwood Festival Speed, not on show. Chateau Impney Hill Climb on display in visitor’s display area. Attended many car shows on show. Been included on Mary Steven’s Summer Fate parades and then on show. Used for charity work. Used many times for camping trips even in -7c snowy weather. Used by a local retro vintage shop that’s owned by the current owner as transport and marketing. The van’s history with the current owner are covered by many photos on Instagram, @little.Ateam.van. This account isn’t part of the sale. It will be locked and left after the sale. Current owner acquired the van in 2015 and has been professionally customized to what it is now. Reg Plate: BA05 VAN: As the van on the TV show is owned by B.A. the registration plate is perfect. It’s a 2005 van so matches 05 on the plate. The plate is spaced legally but a set of show plates are included, spaced as “BA 05 VAN”, with a garage listed at the bottom as “Bad Attitude Autos, Down Town Los Angles, USA” to match the quote from the TV show’s opening titles. It’s included with the sale of the van. It’s been valued at £600-1000 by Elite Registrations and Reg Transfers (Jan 2023). The original reg is EA05 OHW. The new owner can remove the BA plate to sell/retain if needed and revert to the EA plate. Bumpers: The van is metallic silver. Silver Suzuki Carry vans are rare as most are white. The bumpers were bare plastic and were rubbed down, painted with a base coat of paint then painted in several coats of silver (by a local bodywork repair garage Allan Woolf Automotive in Lye) to match the van’s original main colour. Cost was £350. Bodywork: When purchased by the current owner the van’s condition was very good. One of the best in the UK. No rust. But the body work had any dents/nicks (caused by parking and loads in the back) removed professionally (by Demon Dents in Stourbridge). Cost was £200. The jacking points both sides were bent due to incorrect jacking in its past (common issue) and these were fixed and improved (by a body work shop in Brierley Hill, Mick Hadley Motors). Cost £220. Then it was fully wrapped by Seven Star Wraps in Lye to match the style and colours of the real A-Team van. The wrap company is based next to the owner of a full-size screen accurate A-Team van replica who helped match the colours and pattern. Using 3M wrap is gloss black, matte metallic grey and gloss red. The wrap is in very good condition and has had some minor repairs done in 2022 by Sever Star Wraps also added a protective rear bumper strip to protect the wrap when loading/unloading the van. The front grill has been painted black. Cost was £1400. Windows: The rear hatch window was tinted by another local company, Tint FX in Lye. Cost £40 Wheels: The original wheels were 13” 155x80 steel. These were removed and scrapped. Replaced with 15” Mazda MX5 alloys. Cost £200. The alloys are 4x100 PCD, ET37 offset, 7J width. They were powder coated red by a local company called Project Powder Coating in Lye. Cost £120. Tyres: Fitted with 195x50 tyres. The tyres are BF Goodrich tyres to match the van on the TV show. With attention to detail, there are official GMC dust caps on the wheels, with chrome stud nots and black centre caps .. all to match the van on the TV show. Cost Cost £290. Underbody: The van has the underside of the van has been undersealed by ACL Autos. Cost £150. Roof Spoiler: The spoiler is from a Subaru Impreza WRX. It matched the style of the van off the show. It was modified to fit the width of the van by a body workshop in Quarry Bank (Stenick Motors). The removed around 6 inches and joined it back up. Removed the brake light. It was then bolted and boned to the roof of the van. It was then wrapped by Seven Star Wraps to match the red stripe already on the van. The space where the brake light was for the WRX is blanked off and has the wording (vinyl sticker) “No Fools Are Left In This Van Overnight” in the space now. Cost £850 all in. Handling INFO: Van has it’s standard suspension. But with the roof spoiler and wider wheels/tyres the van handles very well indeed. Much better then with the original thin steel wheels. On the motorway doing 70mph it’s very stable. Electrics: A high capacity leisure battery (separate to the van’s battery) has been installed with a split charger system. Fitted by ACL Autos in Stourbridge. This connects to a red vinyl covered control panel on the passenger side with a volt meter, master power switch, mood light switches and USB sockets. Two switches are not connected for future use if needed. The battery powers the stereo, USB sockets, interior LED nights and mood lights. This is so when camping or at car shows you can use them without affecting the van’s main battery avoiding a flat battery. Mood lighting is controlled by 2 switches with red LEDs in the front footwells and in the rear of the van as well as under the drivers side rear under floor storage area. The white lights are roof mounted lighting up front seats and rear compartment. The rear has an additional switch to turn it off when camping from the back without reaching in to the front. Cost £600+. The van has a working cigarette lighter socket. Stereo: The stereo is an Alpine DAB/FM Radio, MP3 & Bluetooth head unit with microphone for phone calls. Stereo face is removable. Also has upgraded Hertz speakers. Supplied and fitted by Ultimate Car Audio in Bromsgrove. Cost £370. Cruise Control: The van has cruise control. This is not standard. It may be the only Suzuki Carry in the world with cruise control. It is very good and accurate. It has 3 memory buttons that can be programmed. Lever is to the left of the steering column. Flick lever to engage, then tap to lock speed or press one of the 3 buttons. Lever can also adjust the speed too. Has an LED to display it’s status. As it’s a manual gearbox when changing gears it doesn’t disengaged. It cancels if you brake or accelerate. Fitted professionally by a company in Birmingham called Conrad Anderson. Cost £600. Interior: The van as standard has no carpets. Bare metal with rubber mats in the front. Bare metal in the back. The van was previously owned by “Iron Lady” who offered a door2door ironing service then someone with a wheelchair so it was in very good shape. Most Carry vans get tatty in the back. This van is like new in the back, under the customisation. It’s been professionally upgraded by Lynex Campervan Interiors in Cradley. Cost £1000. It’s had sound deadening applied in the front and back wherever possible including the doors, roof and floor. Then before it was boarded in the back it had insulation added. The rear was boarded and then fully carpeted. The floor has hard wearing carpet. The sides and roof carpeting with interior material. The colours and pattern match the outside of the van with the red stripe running from the back roof down to the front doors. Looks amazing. The front doors and sliding doors are also fully covered as well as rear door (normally vinyl door panels) as well a a-panels and b-panels. Rear door has the red stripe on it too. No interior metal work is showing. Very cosy, warm and smart. The van has been used for camping in -7c snowy conditions in high winds. The front seats are original and very good condition. The dash is original. You can purchase the speedo binnacle from a Suzuki Alto and upgrade it to add a rev counter and clock, this hasn’t been done. Working heater, which is very good. Curtains: The rear window has curtains installed, as well as curtains between the front seats and rear, used for camping to ensure privacy. From VanX. These can be removed easily if not required. Cost £80. Interior Lighting: Powered from the leisure battery. Controlled by front panel. Four switches operate 2 roof LED light strips and red mood lighting in the front footwell and rear of the van. A rear switch also operates the read light. The roof mounted white LEDs light strips are very bright. Installed by Lynex Campervan Interiors in Cradley. Cost £200. Bedding: For camping, a double memory foam mattress was adapted for the van. In sections they fully cover the rear of the van. Thick foam and very comfortable. Each section is covered in corduroy material (removable to wash). They are grey on top, black on the sides with red piping … all to match the van’s colour scheme. 5 sections, 3 large and 2 small .. can be re-configure to also make a seat inside the van or even outside. To enable a full length bed the front seats slide all the way forward and tilt forward too. There is a flap on the vans rear floorpan that flips forward to cover the rear/seat gap. Works really well. The bedding was made by the current owner and his sister, to a high standard. Mattress and material Cost £700 excl. labour. Storage: Under the van’s rear floor is a full width storage compartment, the width of the sliding doors. This has also been carpeted. Drivers side has red mood lighting (great for car shows when displaying the van with door open). It can be used to store folding chairs, umbrellas, camping kit etc. History Service History: Under current ownership since 2015 it’s been serviced regularly.
