An Arts and Crafts oak ladder back armchair, designed by William Birch for Liberty & Co, with ring turned capitals over a woven grass seat, height of back 122cm, width across the arms 58cm and seat height 41cm, S/D.
Condition report
There is a 24cm x 5cm section of the woven seating that is missing. The frame itself appears to be sound, but there is a small chip to the underside of one of the rear laths and there are some scuffs and scratches commensurate with age and use to the frame.
