Lot 1180: Sold for £250 hammer

Estimate £200-£300

An Edwardian walnut veneered kidney shaped writing desk, with leather inset top above an arrangement of five drawers with brass drop handles around the kneehole, with satinwood cross-banded detail to the drawer fronts, sides and rear, raised to square tapered legs with applied porcelain castors, height 76cm, width 100cm and depth 46cm.

Condition report
The leather inset top is faded but is not holed or torn. All drawer handles are intact and all of the castors are present. Each of the drawers has a lock plate but there is no key (all of the drawers are open). There are some scuffs, scratches and minor dents around the edges of the top, drawer fronts the apron and the legs. There is some play / wobble to the desk that may require attention, although none of the joints appear to be loose.
