Lot 1187: Sold for £180 hammer

Estimate £80-£120

A late 19th to early 20th Century mahogany kidney shaped buffet serving or side table, with brass rail back over rosette detailed capitals to the turned legs with reeded bun feet, height 109cm (to top of rail), width 120cm and depth 61cm, S/D.

Condition report
Minor chips and nibbles to the turned detail on the legs. Scuffs and scratches to the edges of the top. Some scratches to the top. Some woodworm flight holes evident to the stretchers beneath the table top. The wood has lifted beneath the central brass support where it would appear a screw has passed through the wood and caused the underside to lift. There is a split to the top of the rear left leg as you look at the main photo and also a crack around the bottom of the same leg. Stands on concealed castors and all are present.
