Lot 894: Sold for £130 hammer

Estimate £80-£120

A George IV mahogany chest of two short over three long cock-beaded drawers, with later applied brass handles and raised to bracket feet, height 100cm, width 106cm and depth 51cm, some damage.

Condition report
There is a split to the rear left hand corner of the top. Some ring marks and scratches to the top. No splits to the sides. The brass handles are later. The lock to the top right hand drawer has at some point been forced and, as a result the carcass of the chest and the cock-beading to the drawer front is dented. The lock itself is also now missing. Some slight damage to the cock-beading in places elsewhere. There is no key.
