Lot 1519a: Sold for £620 hammer

Estimate £300-£500

An early 20th Century diamond set brooch possibly designed as the crowned monogram of the Princess Marie of Orleans, after Faberge, length 2.5cm, indistinctly marked to pin.

NB - For a similar example see Faberge: Lost and Found by A. Kenneth Snowman page 57.

Condition report
Please note - we don't believe this to be by Faberge. Princess Marie of Orleans was the wife of Prince Valdemar of Denmark. The brooch appears to display the Danish Royal Crown. The brooch is possibly made by Court Jewellers.
