A 20th Century Mettlach stein designed by Heinrich Schlitt decorated with an incised scene of a gladiator or St Florian pouring a bucket of water onto a man below to put out the fire behind, the domed cover with two figures formed as a teapot and a funnel, the finial formed as a fireman, printed verse to either side, titled Sangt Florian, impressed marks, height 18cm
