A Second World War medal group comprising of British War, Defence, 1939-45, Africa, Italy Stars and a Military Medal to 990127 Gnr Bernard Smith, Royal Artillery. In November 1944 Gunner Smith at Monte Calderaro, Italy clawed out from cover eight times to repair a cable and telephone line cut by shell fire.
