An early Victorian hallmarked silver rounded rectangular box, the hinged lid engraved with a leaping stag and a huntsman on horseback, both masked against a ground of engraved foliate scrolls, gilt interior, the base with conforming decoration and centred by a scene of a castle in the distance with sailing boats on a river, length 9.5cm, Birmingham 1838, Nathaniel Mills.
