A collection of assorted late 19th Century tiles to include two 6'' William de Morgan plastic clay tiles decorated in a purple glaze, two purple and two blue Pilkington's 6.25'' x 9.25'' tiles with labels to the reverse stating 'Sample tile made of clay excavated from the coal mines, 1893 ish, Pilkington's and a rectangular tile with a moulded yellow tessellated pattern (8)
