A George II hallmarked silver pierced oval basket, the bowl with C scroll and geometric pierced decoration, central plain oval cartouche, cast fruit and leaves to the rim rising to pierced and scrolled arms, raised on oval stepped foot, thought to have been the centrepiece of an epergne, rubbed scratched weight to base, weight 28oz, height 18.5cm, London 1757, Lewis Herne and Francis Butty, S/D.
