Lot 916: Sold for £80 hammer

Estimate £50-£60

A pair of late 19th to early 20th Century Japanese bronze vases of footed tapered form, in the archaistic style with enameled decoration, height 15cm, S/D (2)

Condition report
The joints and seems on the vases are crudely soldered and there are several spots of solder that are evident from the outside, including quite a large spot of solder about halfway down the side of one of the vases. One of the bases is painted black and again is crudely soldered - difficult to see beneath the paint but possibly later repaired. Need a good clean - there is quite a lot of polish residue.
