A 19th Century oak and mahogany longcase clock, with 30 hour movement, the broken arch painted dial over-painted with a signature for 'R. Holt, Newark' enclosed by a pillared hood with twin swan neck pediment over a short trunk door, raised on a canted plinth base, S/D.
Condition report
The dial has been overpainted. The pendulum crutch has a soldered repair and is also bent out of position. A single weight and the pendulum are present. the chain is detached from the movement. A face has been drawn on the inside of the top of the back board. There is some splitting to the sides and base of the trunk.
