An early 19th century silk embroidered sampler depicting two verses of the hymn 'The Lord my pasture shall prepare' within a cartouche of stylised flowers, signed by Martha Onions, aged 13 years, 1825, framed, 41cm x 33cm, frame size 44cm x 35cm, together with a similar example worked by Mary Perks, aged 11, dated 1833, measures 37cm x 30cm.
Condition report
Both show signs of fading and age related wear, some foxing, both in period frames but with knocks and age related wear.
