A pair of 19th Century brass frame opera glasses by Aronsberg & Co of Liverpool, with gilded decoration of floral cartouche panels and sprigs to a pink ground between swagged borders with mother of pearl mounts, signed to the body, height 9cm, together with a pair of 19th Century face guards with bead work decoration and gilded turned wooden handles. (3)
Condition report
Opera Glasses - These are showing some chips and losses to the enamel decoration, mainly around the bottom of the frames. The gilt metal case is also a little worn and rubbed.
Face Guards - There are some losses and stains to the face mask shields and also wear to the handles.
