Amended description - A late 19th Century bone chess set of standard form in associated oak box, width of box 24.5cm, S/D.

Amended condition report - Please note that the chess set is bone and not ivory as originally catalogued. White (natural) pieces - King some splits. Queen Split. Rooks - both chipped and 1 split. Knights - 1 OK and the other is chipped. Bishops - 1 OK and the other is chipped. Pawns - All OK. Red stained pieces - King - Chipped. Queen - chipped. Rooks - 1 OK and 1 chipped. Knights - both OK. Bishops - 1 OK and the other is chipped. Pawns - 5 are chipped. Associated box is scuffed and scratched and there is a chip out of the rear right hand bottom corner. It is part paper lined.
