Lot 1221: Sold for £130 hammer

Estimate £60-£80

An early 20th Century German oak cased barograph, with hinged glazed cover with brass carry handle enclosing the brass movement with eight bellows and an eight-day winding drum, raised to shallow feet, height 17.5cm, width 28cm and depth 13cm.

Condition report
The ink bottle has leaked to the interior and there are some ink spots / stains in places. The winding key is present to the drum but the movement has not been tested. The glazed panels to the case are Ok. There are two small screw holes to the lid which presumably once held a plaque in place. Some general scuffs and marks to the outside of the case commensurate with age and use.
