A Hailwood's Patent Type ADC No 4 miner's safety lamp, stamped Hailwood & Ackroyd Ltd, with brass plaque stamped Lamp 380 and further stamped 869, retains suspension hook, height 27.5cm, together with a Type No 9 miner's safety lamp, bearing a brass plate stamped Thomas & Williams, Aberdare, Cambrian Makers, No 378, with suspension hook, height 26cm, S/D. Condition report
Both lamps have some dents and areas of paint loss due to wear and use.
Hailwood lamp - There is a slice shaped chip to the glass shade.
Thomas & Williams lamp - The glass shade is cracked. Some light corrosion.
