A hardwood ceremonial spoon shaped paddle, possibly South Pacific, with elliptical shaped bowl with carved wriggle work outer border and conforming detail to the open work handle and rectangular shaped terminal, length 30.5cm and width 14.5cm, S/D.
Condition report
There is a small surface chip to the outer edge of the terminal. Some light scratches across the grain of the bowl and also some small water spot marks to the same. The tip of the bowl remains crisp and well pointed. There is a white coloured scuff mark across the back of the bowl of the paddle.
