Lot 518: Sold for £90 hammer

Estimate £40-£60

Unknown - A 1930s Art Deco mantle clock, the oak veneered square section clock flanked by fan shaped decoration and raised on pad supports, with white dial and black Arabic numerals, within a chrome surround, height 17cm and width 23cm. S/D

Condition report
Revised condition report - The dial is stained and has been overpainted, including repainting of the numerals. Been on test for and hour and running well, as with all clocks no guarantee and sold as not working. Pitting visible to the chrome. Small split and losses to the wood at the feet, wood a bit bleached to the back. Thee is a small dent to the top. The top and back of the case have been bleached / faded, presumably in the sun. The case has been repolished relatively recently with a cellulose polish.
