Lot 186: Sold for £900 hammer

Amended description - A  contemporary taxidermy study of a Nile crocodile, with curled tail, length 300cm (approximately 390cm to the tip of the tail), S/D.
Subject to CITES Annex B listing, this lot will require a re-export permit if shipped outside the mainland UK. 
Provenance - Purchased at auction sale by the present owner. A copy of the CITES Republic of Zambia export permit dated 2006 that was provided at that time is available.

Condition report
Subject to CITES Annex B listing, this lot will require a re-export permit if shipped outside the mainland UK.  There is some loss of skin to the snout. Some white residue to the ears and to the inside of the mouth. The tacks inside the mouth have rusted slightly. Some evidence of woodworm flight holes to the head in places. Has been mounted to a wooden board for wall hanging. The wooden batons have been added to the wooden board to assist with saleroom display and carriage.
