Lot 861: Sold for £140 hammer

Estimate £120-£150

A late 19th to early 20th Century constructed oak dresser in the 18th Century style, fitted with three frieze drawers above a shaped and pierced apron and raised to bobbin-turned front legs, height 80cm, width 182cm and depth 50cm, S/D.

Condition report
The dresser has been heavily re-constructed, probably late 19th to early 20th Century. Looking from the rear, the carcass appears to have some age, but the top, drawers and legs are later additions. The rear legs have been replaced. There are some dowel holes along the rear of the top, presumably where a gallery rail was fitted, but this is no longer present.
