A late 19th Century Shrigley & Hunt stained and painted leaded glass window, depicting Saint Elizabeth teaching St John the Baptist holding a cross, wrapped with banner adorned with Gothic text from Isaiah 40:3 'The voice of him that cryeth in the wilderness prepare ye the way of the lord, make his path straight', stained and painted in vibrant polychrome colours, further painted with depiction of drapery curtain and architectural buildings, 109cm x 53.5cm, together with the matched under foot panel with title in Gothic script.

Condition report
There are three panels cracked. One to the arch of Saint Elizabeth's halo, the portrait panel of St John showing a crack under his chin through his neck from left to right and the lower right panel of his robe. These panels which cracked are intact and tight. Otherwise all in good order Provenance - Having spoken to the family it is documented in the collection archive that this panel was purchased from Ancient Lights of 196 Kensington Park Rd, London in 1980. There is only a fragment of the original receipt left as it was unfortunately eaten by the family dog!!.
