An 18th Century oak and mahogany cross-banded longcase clock with an eight-day movement striking on a bell, the trunk door with an inlaid fleur-de-lys paterae, below the 11 inch brass dial, with date aperture, bears signature plate signed 'Foden, Congleton', height 202cm, S/D.

Condition report
Two weights and a pendulum are present. There is a solder spot repair just beneath the date aperture of the dial. The signature plate appears later applied to the dial.
