ATTRIBUTED TO CHOW KWA (CHINESE, FL. 1850 - 1880) - 'The Bund, Shanghai', watercolour and gouache, 21cm x 44cm, frame size 35cm x 56cm.
Condition report
watercolour in excellent condition with no apparent repair or restoration. Unexamined out of frame. Provenance - owner has inherited painting which has been in her family for many years. Her great grandfather was a tea merchant in China and it is presumed that painting was acquired at then. Presented in a gilt glazed frame with arched top gilt mount
