A Burgonet iron helmet with pronounced peak and tail and side flap hinged ear coverings and prominent comb, above a border of floral brass stud decorations, height 27cm, later restoration.
Condition report
There has been some later restoration work to the comb and the top of the helmet, looking into the interior of the helmet there appears to be some infilling work noted.The side ear coverings are probably original but have a some time been later re-hinged . The ear flaps in our opinion have been later holed.
Would all prospective buyers please satisfy themselves to the originality of the helmet before bidding.
